'nen' is more regular slang.
It wasn't clear separated from the Russians in my post.
Stalactites and stalagmites - nice.
I'm not able to remember the difference, too.
Maybe I can do so in the future. |

Ah, thought as much.
That one I have read many times and never been able to remember it longer than a few minutes. But now it's been a few days and I still remember, so there's hope ;) |

Oh, with stalagtites and stalagmites my 'crutch' is - stalagTites look like a T, stalagMites like an M (if there's 2 next to each other). :o) Funny!
Ahh ja, die leidigen Abkuerzungen! Sehr beliebt ist auch 'schick ne mir mal' anstatt 'schick ihn mir mal', was auch ueberhaupt keinen Sinn ergibt. |

We have a very, very nice calendar hanging here, waiting for the end of the year.
The picture for this month shows a line of scandinavian-looking pubs.
Some of the houses have a wooden animal (e.g. horse, deere and so on) screwed on the wall.
The *funny* line below says:
"Hier wird "Haustier" noch wörtlich genommen. | Here the word "pet" is still taken literally!"
The german line makes sense to me: 'Haustier' and 'Haus-Tier'. Nice pun, really.
Does it work in english, also? 'house' and 'pet'
*really being puzzles* |
